School Buildings
Chris Browne Builders have been carrying out works at schools and colleges in London and the South East for over 40 years. We are leaders in the educational sector and pride ourselves on our collaborative working with schools that ensure schools can continue to educate while we build premises fit for purpose. All projects can be undertaken, from new school buildings, new classrooms, new sports halls, school extensions, new external play areas and fencing to redecoration and refurbishment of existing facilities and DDA compliance works.
Car parking, play areas, hard and soft landscaping, can all be undertaken. All staff have enhanced DBS certificates and are authorized to work in schools.
Sports Halls
Chris Browne Builders have been building Ball Halls for over 10 years and have successfully completed 5 new sports facilities to date and are currently working on another 2 halls. We work closely with Ball Hall to ensure a high-quality finish and fit out each with their own unique facilities and services. Projects range from 800square metre single storey sports halls to larger two storey 1500square metre units. External leisure facilities can be built alongside and our projects have included tennis courts and 3G pitches.
Care Homes
Chris Browne Builders have been involved in the care sector for over 40 years. Projects have included building new care home facilities, dementia unit extensions to existing homes, full refurbishment of care homes, new residential care facilities and maintenance packages for care homes. Working in operational care facilities requires special working arrangements in terms of patient and staff safety and security, noise dust and vibration management, access arrangements and excellent communication. Our staff are fully experienced in working in challenging environments and ensure that client safety is paramount.

Chris Browne Builders have dealt with Listed Buildings both for residential clients and commercial property clients. Properties that are considered of special architectural or historic interest, may be listed and the listing protects the whole of the building both inside and outside.

We can assist with any change to your existing building’s use or layout. We are experts in carrying out work in occupied and operational properties, ensuring that your existing occupation is disrupted as little as possible. We work closely with you to establish how and when works can be undertaken.
Conversions
If a building or premises needs converting from one use to another, we have vast experience in this field, so can offer advice and as well as carry out the works required.

Many of our new build/refurbishment clients remain as clients for the future maintenance of their buildings. St James Senior Boys School, Ashford, Surrey – New Sports Hall
Chris Browne Builders were appointed as main contractor for the design and build of a new Ball Hall at St James Senior Boys School. Site set up took place at the end of May 2020 and we are now progressing the site preparation and the ground works.
